The River of Springs

Sun's  just up on a cool misty morning - were going to take a run - down the river - and follow the cypress trees,

Just hold on a little longer dear - your gonna see what I mean.

We never seem to realize - that when the rains come - just how high the Santa Fe river flows.

Around every bend we're hearing songs - there's a song I keep hearing called, The River of Springs.

Just hold on a little longer dear - your gonna see what I mean.

And we never even realized - that when the rains came - how high the Santa Fe river flows .

Chorus

Take a run down the river --- go as far as you can see -----

That's the life on the Santa Fe River -- Its for the  brothers and sisters -  you - and me.

Theirs a log jamb ahead , ummmmmm, cant seem to push it away.

Just hold on a little longer girl - we're going to find a way.

And we never even realized - just when the rains came - how high the Santa Fe river flows .

Chorus, strings only.

And now the Sun's gone down - all along the river - and then the moon - yes the moon slow holy rose -

Moon light guides the way ... Going down ... taken a run  ...  down the Rocky Shoals.

And you never seem to realize ... baby ... hold on ...  you never even realize ... that when the rains co=me ... just

how high the Santa Fe river flows --  just how high the Santa Fe river flows ... just how high the Santa ... let her  flow...let her  flow ...

let  her flow ...  just how high the Santa Fe river... let her flow ...let her flow... let her flow...let her flow...
